Elders
The United Presbyterian Church Session is a body of lay members who oversee our ministry teams and function as the church’s administrative authority. Moderated by the senior pastor, the session is composed of 15 elders who serve as elected and remain ordained for life. Session meets on the third Tuesday of every month.
Deacons
Dedicated to church and community outreach, our 12 deacons are ordained for life and elected to serve for limited term. This caring, hands-on ministry serves those facing illness, grief and crisis, and provides assistance to the elderly, new parents and anyone in need of care and compassion. Deacon activities range from sending greeting cards and flowers to providing meals and transportation. Along with UPC’s pastoral staff, the deacons also visit those who are hospitalized or confined to their homes. The Board of Deacons meets on the first Tuesday of each month.
