At the United Presbyterian Church, we believe God has called us to use His gifts—both monetary and spiritual—to serve others. We participate in mission work through serving our neighbors, our church and those in need. Working to connect Christ-followers with local and regional missions, we’ve developed a Mission Team chaired by a member of Session.
Currently, our mission budget is approximately 20 percent of the church budget as a whole. A significant portion of this is sent to the Presbytery and Synod for denominational mission efforts. The remainder of our budget is allocated by the Mission Team to local agencies, national charities and international programs.
In addition to mission work, the Mission Team coordinates with the Deacons to provide members with meal assistance, home help and transportation. The team meets on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m., and meetings are open to all congregation members.
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."
Romans 12: 12-13
Please stop by the table in the Narthex and look over the numerous brochures and leaflets about the missions we support.
They may provide something you need or you might want to volunteer in some capacity.
These are very worthy entities. Your kind words and assistance might be worth more than a donation.
